Quality Control Features- The standard QC features in both the PCM and PSM color instruments and ColorSoft®-QCW software meet all the requirements of the finisher for reflection color quality control applications and out perform competitive instruments and software, most of which are more complicated and expensive.

Portability- Size and ease of use makes the LED line of Color-Tec instruments a unique unit for testing and documenting quality assurance issues. Simple, low cost, standard 9-volt batteries make in-plant use practical. The PCM can be used for testing and inspection of color, opacity and yellowness and for quick check of standards and first lots of production. Colors can be checked right on the production floor and data can then be later analyzed on a PC.

Color Measurement & Analysis- Most products have color delta acceptability of 1.0 or more. The ColorTec-PCM easily meets these needs. Many Quality Departments currently use filter Colorimeters with poor stability and poor inter-instrument agreement. The PCM offers more capability and flexibility than most competitive instruments. Our line includes aperture sizes to meet most industrial parts requirements. For those materials requiring greater precision we offer a full line of LED based spectrophotometers (ColorTec-PSM). The analytical SP line meets the needs of the coatings laboratory requiring both analytical analyses in the UV and IR range as well as colorimetry.

Formulating Software- With the addition of a true spectrophotometer to the our LED instrument line, using ColorSoftÒ Advanced Windows software, the ColorTec-PSM instruments offer spectral output, providing the data for industrial and trade sales color matching, batch correction and workoff. ColorTec also offers a full capability for Point of Sale Dealer systems using ColorSoft AutoMatch program with databases built with the Advanced ColorSoft System.

Ease of Use

On-Line LED based systems are now available to monitor continuous coating lines, assuring color consistency without an inspector at each line.

Ruggedness- With no moving parts and stable optics and solid state computer components, the PCM and PSM are operationally secure. The case is ABS, the same polymer system used to make most cellular phones and other roughly handled consumer items. With thousands of units shipped the PCM has a proven track record.
