Quality Control Features - The standard QC features both on the instrument and in ColorSoft meet all the requirements of Printers for color and density applications and out perform competitive instruments and software, most of which are more complicated and expensive. And now for the first time, color, density, brightness and whiteness testing and QC are available on one LED color meter for one low cost. Our basic Windows QC software is easy to use and serves as a source of data analysis and historical print history. Our Advanced Windows ColorSoft offers both standard and advanced QC tools.

Portable Instruments – Rugged construction and ease of use makes the PCM and PSM family of LED instruments unique for the Graphics Arts Industry. Simple, low cost, standard 9-volt batteries make in-plant use practical. The PCM can be used for testing and inspection of brightness, color and whiteness; for quick check of color proofs in the ink room; and, for color and density testing right at the press. Data can be "auto" saved and downloaded to ColorSoft at a later time.

Color Measurement & Analysis - Most printed products have color delta acceptability of 1.0 or more. LED instruments easily meets these needs. Many Printers currently use filter Densitometers and Colorimeters with poor stability and poor inter-instrument agreement. The PCM offers more capability and flexibility than most competitive instruments at a competitive cost. Our 3mm aperture with our simplified targeting guide allows you to easily measure print proof blocks and small detailed critical color areas. We offer density, dot gain and print ratio as well as color, all on the same instrument.

Ink Formulating Software – For Ink Mixing, using ColorSoftÒ Advanced Windows software, the latest LED ColorTec-PSM instruments offer spectral output providing the data input for full color matching, batch correction and press return work-off. As a low cost system for printers, ColorSoftâ AutoMatch, can be set up by Ink Manufacturers using the PCM as an ink formulation tool tied into the standard PantoneÒ color formulation guide. Simply, measure examples of the PantoneÒ color guide and store with your matching ink formulas in AutoMatch. Now you have all of the tools to formulate and find the closest PantoneÒ match as well as do color QC and Densitometry.
